A Night Out @Ante Kitchen & Bar, Solaris Dutamas

I can't eat beef and not a fan of lamb. The only meat I enjoy are pork and chicken. Just two weeks before Christmas, I went for a "Pork dinner" @Ante Kitchen & Bar (AKB) with a group of bloggers.
Ante Kitchen & Bar in Solaris Dutamas,  is a fusion restaurant that specializes in pork dishes. Using premium Sakura Pork ingredients, AKB’s kitchen fuses traditional European dishes with flavors typically associated with the Orient.
Ante Kitchen & Bar is opened on October 14th 2012 by six friends who  loved to play Poker as a past time back in their university days.The “B” in AKB serves up a modest variety of mocktails, cocktails, draught beer, a small selection of bottled beers and an exclusive list of boutique wines.

Located not at the heart but near the city center at Solaris Dutamas - Ante Kitchen & Bar is easily accessible from Jalan Duta, Mont Kiara/Hartamas, SPRINT or even NKVE highway.
We started our dinner with some soups......

Chunky Mushroom Soup RM12
I would say this is a MUST try creamy mushroom soup. This mushroom soup is creamy and it blends with variety of mushroom. One is just not enough for us and at the end, we order another bowl of Chunky Mushroom Soup.

Chef's Tomasco Soup RM12
Well, for those who love to taste a little spicy in your tomato soup, you can go for this. It’s a tomato soup with a mild spicy twist served with croutons. 
 Cod Crab Mesh RM18
The texture for this starter is quite thick and of course it is cheesy! Therefore, it is quite filling and you can order this for sharing with your friends. A combination of minced cod and crab meat mixed with creamy mash potatoes covered in cheese gratin.

Smoked Duck Salad RM23
This is one of my favorite salad for tonight. When I’m writing this blog post, I still miss this salad. The slices of smoked duck perched in lollo lettuce with toasted almond flakes, pecans and sun dried tomatoes drizzle in zesty dressing.

Crispy Pork Trotter Salad RM21
If you like crispy lettuce, then this is the right salad for you. This is my 2nd favourite salad for that night. Deep fried pork trotter slices served with roasted peanuts and mixed lollo lettuce tossed with Thai Dressing.

Ante Caesar Salad RM18
A fresh, crisp romaine lettuce, minced bacon, eggs, parmesan cheese, tossed in Ante’s house-made dressing, finished with parsley and croutons on top.

Pasta time!

The Real Bacon Carbonara RM26
This is creamy pasta cooked along with pork bacon, onions, mushrooms, crispy bacon and finished with cheese. The is also a very filling pasta with plenty of tasty cheese!

Seafood Marinara RM38
If you love seafood pasta with big fresh river prawn, green mussels and squids rings in herbed tomato puree, try this pasta! 

Before we continue with other pork dishes, let's have some drinks.

Citrus Mint Cooler (Rm12)
- lemon juice + orange juice
Rosie's Lychee Fizz (Rm12)
-lychee + lime juice + pandan leaf juice
Passion Fruit Mojito (Rm12)
-mint + passion fruit + soda
Me with the refreshing Citrus Mint Cooler (Rm12) before continue my pork dinner.

Chargrilled Pork Steak RM33
I like this Ante’s signature pork chop. Their signature pork chop with berry cream sauce served with mashed potatoes and baked apple.

The Hogger Pork Ribs RM75
Wow, this dish is for sharing!
Charcoal grilled hickory piglet ribs glazed with house made BBQ sauce, coleslaw, potato salad and fries on the side.

Volcano Sacrifice RM30
Grilled lean pork slices served with Ante special volcanic spicy sauce and mashed potatoes. It taste quite good but just a little too dry. Maybe it should have serve with more Ante special volcanic spicy sauce?

Crispy Pork Knuckle RM78
This is another sharing dish. I was told this is one of the Ante’s specials. This is a crispy and tender pork knuckle. It is served sauerkraut and ante’s in-house source.

Up The Ante Pork Burger RM 35
A little surprise was they served with raisin bun instead of the normal burger bun.  With fresh lettuce, tomato, onions, sautéed mushroom, an egg with a runny-yolk and of course the Ante’s special pork patty all wrapped in prime cuts of bacons strips. A must try pork burger!

 
Gratinated Pork Loin RM29
This is a grilled tender pork loin layered with sauteed potato ,mushroom, cheese and cream and lastly topped with arugula salad.

We were so full but we still want to have some dessert & coffee!

This was a great "Pork dinner' with the them. I'll definitely go back to have another "Pork dinner' with my friends.
